Canva is a popular design tool that allows users to create engaging visual content for various purposes. One of the features that Canva offers is the ability to incorporate videos into designs.
Using videos in Canva designs can add a new dimension of interest and engagement to your projects. Whether you’re creating social media graphics, presentations, or marketing materials, videos can help capture attention and convey information in a dynamic way.
With Canva’s support for various video formats and easy-to-use editing tools, incorporating videos into your designs is a breeze.
Here is a simple step by step guide to adding a video to your Canva design:
Step 1: Create or open a design in which you want to add the video. For this tutorial, we used one of the DFY Canva templates from Canva with a video element.
Step 2: Once the design is ready, click the “Videos” option in the left side editor panel. Here you see the option to search for a video based on keywords from the database of six million plus pre-licensed videos from Canva.
If you have a Canva pro account, you can customize any free stock video footage for personal or commercial use. And if you have a free Canva account, you have limited videos or pay for the premium video you have used. Alternatively, you can also record a video for yourself based on your requirement.
Step 3: If you already have a video on your computer, click the “Uploads” option from the left side editor panel and upload the video file. Canva also has options to connect your Google Drive, Dropbox, & other social media accounts to import the videos into Canva. You have the option to record the video here as well.
Step 4: We have uploaded a video from our computer, as seen in the screenshot below.
Step 5: Now drag and drop the uploaded video into the design, and make the required adjustments by double-clicking on the video.
Your design is now ready to download or share along with the video.
